In short
There is no single bank balance for a Schengen visa. Each country sets its own daily amount, from €14 a day in Latvia to €122.10 in Spain. Multiply it by your days in Europe. Your last 3 months of bank statements should show you can cover it.

Questions people ask
Is there one minimum bank balance for a Schengen visa from India?
No. Each country sets its own daily amount. Multiply it by your days in Europe to see the total your statements should show.
Can someone else pay for my trip?
Yes, in most countries. A sponsor or a host can show the money instead. Many countries also lower the daily amount when a host covers your stay. See each country’s notes.
Do I show the money in rupees or euros?
Your statements will be in rupees. The officer compares them with the daily amount in euros. The calculator shows both.
